    Right here is ground zero for the ‘Glam’ movement. It would be a year or two before David Bowie picked up the torch, so Marc Bolan gets (and deserves) the credit for kicking off an entirely new music fashion.

    The album was wildly popular in England, but not nearly so much here. “Bang a Gong (Get It On)” did well enough to propel the album into the top 40, though. The combination of deliberate dumbness, attitude and awesome riffs somehow fit perfectly at the dawn of the seventies.
