The second half of “Physical Graffiti” has a much looser feel than side one, which is to say that it is some of the ‘loosest’ music that the band ever released. For the first time in their career, the band sounds relaxed here, as if they were enjoying the process without the need to make every song sound like an innovation.

There’s a spirit of camaraderie here that may be the ingredient that gives this album its longevity.
