There is little doubt that Roger Waters did not make things easy for the other members of Pink Floyd.

He took the reins for “The Wall”, and when that project became a blockbuster, there seemed to be no reason for things to change, so the rest of the band simply became appendages (except for Rick Wright, who was kicked out by Roger!). For all intents and purposes, Divid Gilmour and Nick Mason performed as studio musicians whose job was to support “the boss” …but things did not work out exactly as Roger planned.

His follow-up project, “The Final Cut,” was not nearly as successful as “The Wall”, either financially or artistically, but he nonetheless decided to break free and become a solo artist. His first ‘project’ was one that was initially rejected by Pink Floyd when they chose to build “The Wall”, so Roger figured he could do his own project on his own, and in his own way. This show covers both sides of that arrangement.
