    By the time Santana got round to releasing their second album, they were already superstars, easily climbing to #1 on Billboard’s album charts.

    Featuring the same potent formula of Latin music mixed with jazz influences, they band hit on a formula that had heretofore gone completely unrecognized. For the time being, they were one of a kind, and Abraxas captured the band at an artistic and commercial peak.
