    And so, sadly (for me, anyway) we come to the end of our series dedicated to the intuitive genius of Harry Smith.

    I sincerely hope that the importance of appreciating this old-time music, as well as Smith’s astounding compilation skills, came through for you listeners who were dedicated enough to stick with us - not only for the song’s face value but for the eventual impact that these songs had on the development of music culture as we know it today.

    This collection was a small miracle that knocked the world back into an awareness of recognizing the value of our musical past, and it was a pure pleasure for me to share it with you.
