Savage GardenIn a few years (if you’re not doing it already) you’ll back wistfully at the late nineties and say, "Remember Savage Garden? Whatever happened to those guys?" ‘Those guys’ make the kind of music that helps to pass the time, and sounds just fine on television, but it fades away almost as quickly as it appears. "Truly, Madly, Deeply" sinks in quick, and like any insidious pop song, almost forces you to like it. The production is top-notch, but without distinction. For example, I can’t always tell the difference between Savage Garden and Roxette. They are the nineties equivalent of Wham! and the Thompson Twins, so enjoy it while you’re still able.
