If you don’t recognize the name Gorden Mack, perhaps you know him as the guitarist for Red House Painters.
Back in the ‘00s, Red House Painters were the kings, and perhaps the inventors, of ‘sadcore’, a genre identified by painfully slow tempos supporting intensely personal lyrics. Gorden has been solo for a while now, with a new album due out soon.
We’ll spend this hour talking about Gorden’s back story (and mine, as it is literally related to his story), playing some recordings, along with an in-studio live performance. We hope you enjoy the show!
