episode date - April 11, 2012

With all of the ‘classic’ albums that were released in the Spring of ’72, it’s no wonder that a number of significant releases have been overlooked or nearly forgotten, except perhaps by a few dedicated fans.

For that reason, we are going to look at a few tracks from ‘sleeper’ albums from this era, including;

1) Iko Iko – Dr. John (Dr. John’s Gumbo)

2) Big Chief – Dr. John (Dr. John’s Gumbo)

3) I Saw the Light – Todd Rundgren (“Something/Anything?)

4) It Wouldn’t Have Made Any Difference – Todd Rundgren (“Something/Anything?)

5) Couldn’t I Just Tell You – Todd Rundgren (“Something/Anything?)

6) Scraps – NRBQ (Scraps)

7) Get a Grip – NRBQ (Scraps)

8) Magnet – NRBQ (Scraps)

9) Bare Trees – Fleetwood Mac (Bare Trees)

10) Spare Me a Little of Your Love – Fleetwood Mac (Bare Trees)

11) Tomorrow Is a Long Time – Sandy Denny (Sandy)

12) Quiet Joys of Brotherhood – Sandy Denny (Sandy)
