Looking back at chart listings, it is easy to see (and hear) how the pop charts differentiated from the album charts in 1961.
The pop charts are full of youthful, innocent tunes aimed at younger audiences, while the album charts were full of more sophisticated, adult fare. In this show we take a look at both of these worlds, although they existed almost exclusively of one another.

2) Crying – Roy Orbison
3) Little Sister – Elvis Presley
4) Never on Sunday – The Chordettes
5) Who Put the Bomp (in the Bomp Bomp Bomp) – Barry Mann
6) Day by Day – Frank Sinatra (“Come Swing with Me”)
7) I Gotta Right to Sing the Blues – Frank Sinatra (“Come Swing with Me”)
8) Overture” The Trolley Song, etc. – Judy Garland (“At Carnegie Hall”)
