The Time Was Late Spring 1970: Albums Tracks

episode date - June 2, 2010

Last show we played some awesome singles that were charting during the Memorial Day weekend of 1970. This show, we figured we’d dig up some awesome album tracks from that same era, and the job was quite easy.

Any time that the Beatles and the Who release an album at the same time, it’s gotta be a good month for music. Add in a Beatles solo record, a Jimi Hendrix album, and a classic from Jethro Tull, and it becomes obvious just how rich the music of this era was. So it was as Spring 1970 began to roll toward Summer.

Tracks from this show include;

1) Two of Us – The Beatles (“Let It Be”)

2) I’ve Got a Feeling - The Beatles (“Let It Be”)

3) Across the Universe - The Beatles (“Let It Be”)

4) Message of Love – Jimi Hendrix (“Band of Gypsies”)

5) Teacher – Jethro Tull (“Benefit”)

6) Inside – Jethro Tull (“Benefit”)

7) Young Man Blues – The Who (“Live at Leeds”)

8) That Would Be Something – Paul McCartney (“McCartney”)

9) Junk – Paul McCartney (“McCartney”)

10) Maybe I’m Amazed – Paul McCartney (“McCartney”)

11) Miles Runs the Voodoo Down –Miles Davis (“Bitches Brew”)
